Annual Educational Meeting and Convention
In addition to presentations on industry topics, supplier displays and a lively social program, each Annual Education Meeting offers 60 hours or more of CEC-approved continuing education seminars and workshops ranging from basic to advanced. Authoritative speakers are drawn from such disciplines as contact lens technicians, optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians and orthoptists.
Clinical Hands-On Training Courses
Held in conjunction with leading eye institutions around the country, these courses incorporate lectures, demonstrations, case presentations and home study materials. The hands-on experience of fitting actual patients provides the opportunity to work with complicated and unusual situations. Courses are offered at basic and advanced levels with member tuition deeply discounted.
Home Study Advancement Courses
Use
your spare time to advance your skills, standing and income by taking advantage
of CLSA's home study courses. These include a basic course in contact lens
fitting and a series of readings on advanced subjects. Courses are approved
for continuing education credit by the National Contact Lens Examiners. Members
receive a substantial discount.
Professional Publication
Four times each year, members receive the EyeWitness, the society's publication loaded with contact lens technical education, member information and current industry topics.
Membership Directory
As a CLSA member, your name, business name, credentials,
address and important phone numbers will be published in the annual
Directory along side other top contact lnes industry professionals.
The Directory provides immediate recognition as a professional who
has the distinction of CLSA membership and a person who is serious
