Scleral Lenses: Principles and Practice

The instructor will present the history and technological development of modern scleral lenses. The use of scleral lenses for various types of irregular cornea will be presented, along with clinical examples. Terminology and clinical features specific to the fit of scleral lenses will be reviewed, as well as examples of the increasing utility of scleral lenses.

August - Contact Lens Health Week
Save the date! August 20-24, 2018, marks the 5th Annual Contact Lens Health Week organized by the CDC to encourage contact lens wearers to adopt healthy habits that can reduce their chances of getting an eye infection. CLSA is collaborating with IJCAHPO on hosting a webinar to promote contact lens health patient education. Join us on August 21, Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Central time for the hour-long live session with our special guest speaker.
October 1-31 - Contact Lens Safety Month
CLSA and IJCAHPO will join efforts in October to promote Contact Lens Safety month. On Tuesday evenings, a series of webinars will be co-hosted with IJCAHPO and feature speakers on contact lenses safety, public awareness, and healthy contact lens wear and care. Approximately 46 million U.S. residents wear contact lenses, and contact lens safety of wearing costume contact lenses purchased without a prescription will be a special focus for Halloween.
